Overall, House of Embers offers a memorable dining experience with friendly local servers, a quaint antique atmosphere, and delicious comfort food. We had a relaxing evening with great food and great service. Gabby was our waitress and was fantastic! I had the steak tornedos and my husband had the ribs. We shared the lemon ice cream cake for dessert. All of it was delicious, hot, and served timely. I have been to a few other WI supper clubs and while the restaurant is clean and cozy I did think the decor was too dated, and there seemed to be different themes for each dining area.

The food is delicious, but if you are searching for "fancy", this is not the place to go. With the higher end steakhouses/supper clubs in the area, that was my preconceived notion of what to expect... Instead I found friendly local servers, a quaint antique atmosphere, and good ribs.

3.5 stars - I recommend making a reservation in advance for House of Embers. Our server, Miranda, provided excellent service throughout our dining experience. I personally ordered the Hand-Breaded Shrimp, which was served on a warm pineapple. The shrimp where a good size and the pineapple base was yummy! Additionally, I suggest trying the twice baked potatoes - they're definitely worth the upgrade to me. At our table, we also shared the Ribs. While I found the ribs to be a bit dry, it's worth noting that they are smoked and then cooked for additional hours, as mentioned on their website. Some might enjoy this style, but personally, I prefer my ribs smothered in sauce. The ambiance of this supper club is warm and nostalgic, with vintage decor that adds to the overall charm of the place. A tip for future diners: consider paying in cash to avoid the 3.5% credit card service fee, a small detail that can save you a bit of money in the end. I wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend it to others seeking a memorable dining experience in Wisconsin Dells.
